entertainment attractions, WEG has numer-
ous connections to make it happen.
"It's more than just the legal and statuto-
ry stuff," Zammit said. "It's everything in be-
tween to ensure that every aspect of (their)
stay at our facility is the best it can be. You
retain visitors to your facility by giving them
an outstanding experience. Can you say
that's the reason why we do this? I would
say 100 percent, but since I've started here
I see the value in this because it's getting
harder and harder to compete for horses.
There's only a finite number of horses at
any given point in North America and we're
all competing for that same pool of hors-
es and you've got to differentiate yourself.
If this program helps us to get more horses
here, then that's something we're going
to invest in and that's what we're starting to
use to get more horses up here. More hors-
es at our track is good."
Owner Barbara Keller is full of praise for
WEG, having raced two horses in the GI
E.P. Taylor Stakes. She placed second in
2014 with Odeliz (Ire) (Falco) and won it in
2017 with Blond Me (Ire) (Tamayuz {GB}).
