This type of recruitment is accessible to many job seekers but consequently companies can get inundated in applicants and a barrier seen in job boards within Indonesia is that both job seeker and employer must pay a fee for the job boards. Universities Companies especially in the financial or oil and gas sector typically recruit from within or go direct to universities to get the best grads. Best universities in Indonesia, there are more than 3,000 universities in Indonesia, all providing their students with bachelor degrees. Nevertheless, there is a significant difference between the levels of education. In general the public universities are perceived to be better than the privately owned universities. The provided list of universities is said to be the best. They are in random order, however, the first three in the list are said to be ranked significantly highest (see Figure 5). Job Boards There are two main job boards in Indonesia, and 90 per cent of listings found on the job boards are direct postings from companies. This form of sourcing is starting to grow but still word of mouth and through your own network is found to be the main way candidates find jobs.
