The Session I sale will be held midday on Friday at Trailside Galleries in Jackson Hole. The Session II sale follows on Saturday at the award-winning Center for the Arts venue. CORBETT RIFLE BRINGS MORE THAN DOUBLE ITS AUCTION ESTIMATE Col. Jim Corbett's Man-Eating Tiger gun was sold at James D. Julia's March 15th auction for $264,500. Formerly owned by famous gun-writer Elmer Keith, the double rifle's presale estimate was $75-150,000. Julia's auction featured 12 old-time iconic gun collections, which altogether grossed more than $16 million dollars in sale.
