AD will report directly to, and work closely with, the Dean to ensure that the College's operations deliver excellent service to students, faculty, and the community. AD will represent the Dean and the College both internally and externally, as neces- sary, and help oversee daily operations. AD will assist the Dean in ensuring excellence in every aspect of the CBA's strategic initiatives and expanding operations including delivery of quality non-credit and graduate and undergraduate degree programs. Requires a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in a business discipline from an AACSB-accredited or similarly accredited foreign university. We seek an academic leader with a balanced record of achieve- ment in teaching and scholarship suitable for appointment as a full professor. The candidate should be familiar with appropri- ate personnel and budgetary management processes including setting objectives, developing measures, and monitoring imple- mentation efforts. Prior management experience, preferably in academia, is desirable. A 12-month contract will be offered at a competitive salary, commensurate with the candidate's qualifi- cations and experience, preferably commencing August 2008 or January 2009. International Fellowships The OU Business School is launching an International Fellowships scheme, which is awarded on the basis of sharing activities and knowledge across international boundaries. Academics from international higher education systems are invited to spend three to six months researching, training or course writing at the OU Busi- ness School at The Open University in Milton Keynes, UK. Proposed projects could focus on various aspects of open, online and practice-based learning; its teaching and learning aspects, assessment and evaluation, logistics, administration or policy. Funding is available to cover travel, accommodation and living expenses. Fellowship applicants are welcomed from practitioners in all countries, particularly from developing and transition countries. Proposed projects could focus on various aspects of open, online and distance learning although successful candi- dates would be expected to meet the following basic criteria: • A firm interest in open, online and distance education, its teaching and learning aspects, assessment and evalua- tion, logistics, administration or its policy; • A willingness to make a contribution to the OU Business School in the process – for example, by contributing to current OU Business School research; working alongside OU Business School academics and/or administrators; of- fering a seminar or workshop at the end of the Fellowship on the outcomes of the research undertaken; • Support from the Fellow's own university or higher educa- tion institution (HEI) or from an appropriate governing body; participants should detail how their project will benefit their own institution or HE system on their return; • A commitment to participating in the evaluation of the Fellowship and the scheme in general.
