The Venezuelan-born Colimodio gains inspiration from Porter's Executive Chef Johnny De Vivo, whose sur- name translates from Italian to alive. "I want to create cocktails that are bright and cre- ative," he says. Colimodio's blue cocktail has invigorated a legion of weary golfers at this lively 19th hole at Poppy Hills Golf Course. It's cool, bright, peppy and full of antioxidants. —Larry Harland P R E PA R AT I O N : For simple syrup, bring 1 cup water and 3 T. lavender flowers to boil. Stir in 1½ cups sugar and simmer. Strain. For puree, in a saucepan cook 1 cup blueberries, ½ cup sugar, 1 tsp. lemon zest and 3 T. Grand Marnier. Cool, then blend well. Put ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into cocktail glass over ice. I N G R E D I E N T S : • 2 oz. Citrus-flavored vodka • ¼ oz. Liqueur de acai • ¾ oz. Lavender simple syrup • ¾ oz. Lemon juice • 1 tsp. Blueberry puree
