Since 1984, Hendrick Motorsports, owned by Rick Hen- drick, has earned a record 12 car owner championships in NASCAR's premier division. The organization fields four full-time Chevrolet teams on the NASCAR Cup Series cir- cuit with drivers Kasey Kahne, Chase Elliott, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Jimmie Johnson. Johnson's historic seventh Sprint Cup Series championship was won in the No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet SS car at the sea- son's final race last November at the Homestead-Miami Speedway.
