Nanoindentation tester for automotive coatings Using the FISCHERSCOPE HM2000 nanoindentation tester makes the determination of material characteristics like surface hardness, cross-link- ing, elastic modulus, and healing behavior in case of scratches in automotive coatings simple and easy. Tester allows several chemical process parameters to be determined quickly during manufacturing or hardening of automo- tive paint coatings. Tester measures coatings thicker than 1 micrometer (0.04 mils) in a broad range of applications, from polymeric automotive clear coats to ceramic diamond-like carbon coatings. Fischer Technology, Windsor, CT 860/683-0781 www.fischer-technology.com Pulse-jet filter cleaning vacuums for automotive applications Compressed-air-powered industrial vacuum cleaners meet the definition of an intrinsically safe system. Models 40008, 40012, and 40013 don't use electricity, don't generate heat during operation, and are the first-line offer- ing for applications requiring stringent dust control and clean up, including Class II, Division II environments. Pulse-jet filter cleaning vacuums meet NFPA 77 requirements for grounding and bonding. Vacuums are offered as a complete system with specific static control components, including a static-dissipative vacuum hose, anti-sparking inlet, and more. Both standard and advanced models feature built-in memory, onscreen statistics, PosiSoft USB Drive, and fast mode. Advanced models also include high-contrast re- versible color LCD, scan mode to store continuous readings, real-time graph- ing, and more. Gages use the PosiSoft suite of software, which offers multiple ways to view, analyze, and report data. 4 pages. DeFelsko, Ogdensburg, NY 800/448-3835 www.defelsko.com POWDER COATING, March 2017 17
