Dean, School of Business Administration The Citadel invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the School of Business Administration and the Robert A. Jolly Chair in Busi- ness Administration. The dean's primary responsibilities include the general administration of DEAN the School and the oversight of curricular, budgetary, personnel and academic matters, as well as external development. The School of Business Administration offers both graduate and undergraduate degrees in business administration and is fully accredited by AACSB International. There are approximately 650 under- graduate and 300 graduate students in these programs. The School has 25 full- time faculty members actively engaged in teaching, research and service. Minimum qualifications • An earned doctorate in business administration or a closely related field. • A strong commitment to promoting teaching and scholarship at a predomi- nately undergraduate institution. • Demonstrated evidence of distinguished teaching, research, and scholarly work appropriate to qualify the candidate for appointment as a tenured full professor. • A proven record of effective administrative experience in higher education that includes planning and assessment, faculty development, budgeting, resource development, and personnel decisions. • Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making abili- ties, thus enabling the individual to interact effectively with the various constituencies. • A commitment to promoting excellence and diversity in the recruitment, retention, and development of students, faculty, and staff. Other desirable qualifications include: • A proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with external constituencies. • Familiarity with online courses and programs. DONALD W. Maine College of Business. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a collaborative managerial style and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will bring experience as both an educator and leader in a higher education or corporate setting. The Dean will be a strategic leader who develops and implements a vision for the Maine College of Business as a major contributor to the future growth of both quality and enrollment at Davenport.
