The Association of International Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators (AIMCAL), Fort Mill, S.C., elected officers and directors at its annual meeting earlier this year. AIMCAL rep- resents converters of metallized, coated, and laminated flexible sub- strates and their suppliers. Acting vice president Milan Moscari- tolo, Toray Plastics (America), was elected president while Dante Ferrari, Celplast Metallized Products, was elected vice president and Thomas S. Rimel Jr., Dunmore Corp., was elected treasurer. Both Ferrari and Rimel previously served as directors of the association. Danis Roy, Da- vis-Standard, continues to serve as past president. Newly elected directors include An- drew Jack, Vacuum Depositing Inc. (VDI LLC); Bob Pasquale, New Era Converting Machinery; and Michael Sullivan, MTI Polyexe Inc., an In- teplast Group company. The member- ship also re-elected directors Ginger Cushing, Nordmeccanica; Steve Jack- son, Camvac Ltd.; and Matt Menges, Maxcess International. warehousing. It is scheduled to open in Fall 2019. Since 1982, the company's line of painting robots and a variety of auto- mation software products have been designed and built in Michigan. With the addition of the new building, the company's three facilities in the state will total more than 1.1 million square feet. PCI announces 2019 forum LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla.—The Powder Coating Institute (PCI) will once again host its Custom Coater Forum as part of the PCI Powder Coat- ing 2019 Technical Conference. The Custom Coater Forum will be held April 1-2, 2019, at the Renaissance Or- lando at SeaWorld, prior to the confer- ence and tabletop exhibition on April 3-4. The forum provides presentations and roundtable discussions on business solutions, new product technologies, PCI programs, and more. UPDATE: People SSPC: The Society for Protective Coatings, Pittsburgh, Pa., recently an- nounced the winners of its 2018-2019 scholarship program, which awarded $2,500 in tuition funding to individual SSPC members and their children. In order to qualify for the competition, candidates had to be either a high school senior with plans to enroll in college full time or a current college student. Applicants must be a member of SSPC in good standing, or the child or grandchild of an SSPC member. ITPS delivers noteworthy presentations LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla.—In- dustry leaders and executives gathered in Atlanta from July 30-August 1 for the second International ThermPro- cess Summit (ITPS), and by all ac- counts and comments, the event deliv- ered a wide array of timely and critical information. The event was co-spon- sored by the Industrial Heating Equip- ment Association (IHEA), a voluntary trade association representing the major segments of the industrial heat processing equipment industry. From the opening session where at- tendees learned about the "Factory of the Future" from Dr. Irene Petrick of Intel to the closing presentation on "Transitioning Your Business to the Next Generation" by The Brainzoom- ing Group founder Mike Brown, the audience was engaged throughout the entire event. The diverse general ses- sion program was packed with topics of significant relevance to today's manu- facturing leadership. The program also addressed the latest happenings in Washington, D.C., and economic in- dices that impact manufacturers. The highest rated presentation came from Dr. Amber Selking of the Selking Performance Group. She addressed ways for executives to drive consistent performance excellence within their companies. Dr. Selking dove into the science behind how the brain works and what leaders should do to develop their staff to drive a workforce that feels empowered.
