SCOTTSDALE COMMUNITY COLLEGE www.scottsdalecc.edu Admissions/Registration/Enrollment Admissions/Registration/Enrollment 154 2019-2020 CATALOG & STUDENT HANDBOOK If you receive (or your school or parent receives on your behalf ) excess Title IV program funds that must be returned, your school must return a por tion of the excess equal to the lesser of: 1. Your institutional charges multiplied by the unearned percentage of your funds, OR 2. The entire amount of excess funds. The school must return this amount even if it didn' t keep this amount of your Title IV program funds. If your school is not required to return all of the excess funds, you must return the remaining amount. Any loan funds that you must return, you (or your parent for a PLUS Loan) repay in accordance with the terms of the promissor y note. That is, you make scheduled payments to the holder of the loan over a period of time. Any amount of unearned grant funds that you must return is called an overpayment. The maximum amount of a grant overpayment that you must repay is half of the grant funds you received or were scheduled to receive. You must make arrangements with your school or the Depar tment of Education to return the unearned grant funds. The requirements for Title IV program funds when you withdraw are separate from any refund polic y that your school may have. Therefore, you may still owe funds to the school to cover unpaid institutional charges. Your school may also charge you for any Title IV program funds that the school was required to return. You can view the tuition refund polic y and requirements and procedures for withdrawing from school at: ht tps://distric t.maricopa.edu/regulations/admin-regs/sec tion-2 /2-2 2.2.12 Vaccinations (As Required by 20 USC ยง1092(a)(1)V)) The Maricopa Count y Communit y College Distric t does not require that students receive vaccinations prior to enrollment. Cer tain professional or occupational programs do require par ticular vaccinations for par ticipation in those programs. More information about these programs can be found on college websites. 2.2.13 University Transfer The Maricopa Communit y Colleges have developed formal agreements to facilitate the transfer of credit to four-year colleges and universities. This is accomplished through the development of course and program ar ticulation agreements. The Maricopa Communit y Colleges ar ticulate with accredited private, public, and international baccalaureate granting institutions. Maricopa transfer agreements are on behalf of the Distric t as a whole and not with individual colleges within the distric t. Courses taken at any of the Maricopa Communit y Colleges are equally transferable by institutions wishing to ar ticulate. Students planning to transfer to a universit y may be required to submit of f icial transcripts. Ar ticulated Transfer Programs and pathways bet ween the Maricopa Communit y Colleges and baccalaureate-granting institutions [such as the Maricopa-A SU Pathway Program (MAPP), the UA Bridge Program, 2NAU and 90/ 30 transfer agreements] are of f icial, recognized programs of study that fulf ill both associate degree and bachelor 's degree requirements. These ar ticulated programs and pathways are designed to aid in a smooth transition for a student planning to transfer to a four-year college or universit y by identif ying the required, transferable, and applicable coursework for that student 's specif ic program of study. A complete list of Maricopa-A SU Pathway Program requirements by major and catalog year is maintained on A SU ' S website, at transfer.asu.edu. Arizona Public Community Colleges and Universities Maricopa is a par ticipant in the Arizona statewide transfer s ystem. A Z TR ANSFER .COM is the of f icial source of information for the statewide ar ticulation agreements bet ween the Arizona public communit y colleges and universities (Arizona State Universit y, Nor thern Arizona Universit y, and Universit y of Arizona). Included on A Z TR ANSFER .COM is the Course Equivalenc y Guide (CEG), which shows transfer course equivalencies bet ween Arizona's public communit y colleges and tribal institutions to Arizona State Universit y, Nor thern Arizona Universit y, and the Universit y of Arizona. The transferabilit y of a course does not indicate direc tly how the course will apply to meet requirements for specif ic bachelor 's degrees. A Z Transfer Course Equivalenc y Guide (U.S.) and International Institutions The Maricopa Communit y Colleges have transfer agreements with accredited U.S. universities and colleges as well as international institutions that have been approved by the Ministr y of Education. These par tnerships are formalized through Distric t-wide memorandums of understanding and ar ticulation agreements, and are designed to help students maximize the applicabilit y of transfer credit toward a bachelor 's degree. To access a list of institutions with which Maricopa has established ar ticulation agreements, visit: Maricopa Universit y Par tner List Time Limit for Transfer Coursework Students should be aware other colleges and universities may have age of credit limits on cer tain coursework to be used in transfer. Students should refer to the polic y of their intended transfer institution regarding time limits for transfer coursework.
