Pin mill
CIM-18-S316 pin mill (or centrifugal impact mill) grinds friable powders, flakes,
and granules into coarse or fine particles as small as 400 mesh. Outer and inner discs
swing away from the unit on cantilevered arms, providing full access to both sides
of each disc as well as to the mill housing for rapid cleaning and sanitizing. Inner
disc's high-speed rotation creates a centrifugal force that accelerates bulk material
entering the central inlet of the opposing stationary disc. As material travels at high
speed from the center to the periphery of the discs, it passes through and impacts
five intermeshing rows of rotating and stationary pins. Infinitely variable-speed
rotor rotates at up to 5,400 rpm.

Dual-centrifuge bead mill
DeltaVita 1 compact dual-centrifuge bead mill uses two angled disks that rotate up
to 40 sample vessels at once while maintaining a user-specified temperature, pro-
viding particle-size reduction similar to agitator bead mills. Lab-scale unit speeds
formulation development and is ideal for producing nano-suspensions, liposomes,
and emulsion s. Device accepts API batch sizes from 0.1 to 1 gram and is suitable
for use with grinding media up to 2 millimeters in diameter. Formulations can be
scaled up to the company's larger agitator bead mills for further product develop-
ment and production.

Centrifugal sifter
Kemutec Kek centrifugal sifter is ideal for sifting and screening high volumes of
material at high speeds, providing particle-size classification and removal of off-
spec material and contaminants. Cantilevered design improves sifting efficiency,
and toolless assembly speeds cleaning, maintenance, and inspection. Nylon sifter
screens remove easily and are available in white, red, or blue. Screens can be quickly
accessed through the hinged, oversized end door with bolted flanges that prevent
leaks and contamination. Options include screen protectors, a CIP spray system, an
inlet section access door, and additional inspection doors on the sifter body.
