Cambrex expands
biopharmaceutical
analysis capabilities
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ—Cam-
brex, a provider of small molecule
drug substances, products, and analyt-
ical services completed an expansion
of its biopharmaceutical analysis capa-
bilities at the company's North Caro-
lina site. A range of new instruments
were installed during the expansion,
including particle analysis, imaging,
qPCR, fluorescence/absorbance read-
ing, immunoblotting, mass spectrome-
try, and other compendial testing
devices. Ongoing assay additions are
also in the works, including imped-
ance-based orthogonal methods for
existing and new cell-based potency
assays and protein-protein interaction/
binding assays.

distributor in China
NOTTINGHAM, UK—Copley
Scientific, a supplier of pharmaceu-
tical testing equipment, has chosen
Welch Materials, a manufacturer of
high-pressure liquid chromatogra-

installed a new extended content
labels (ECLs) production line at its
primary manufacturing facility. This
addition, which includes a cus-
tom-engineered modular printing,
