Cooperative Elevator, Pigeon, MI, is a grain harvesting, processing, of 250 multidisciplinary experts who are able to test materials used in various industries, including aerospace, military, nuclear, and medical manufacturing. Additive manufacturing (AM) requires powder characterization to assure that a powder is authentic, pure, uniform, or ready for pro- cessing. The laboratory can also perform further tests on printed parts, such as mechanical, dynamic, chemical, and metallurgical tests on the prototypes. The AM industry is still developing, so standards for metal powders were only published in 2019, making testing facilities an important tool for manufacturers of both powders and 3D printed parts. als producer with about 40,000 employees globally. Element upgrades California lab with powder characterization facility Element Materials Technology, an independent provider of test- ing, inspection, and certi cation services, has added a powder characterization facility to its lab- oratory in Huntington Beach, CA. Dedicated to additive manufac- turing powders, the laboratory includes testing equipment for chemical composition analysis, powder sieve analysis, particle size distribution, owrate, apparent density, tap density, and gas pyc- nometry (a method of measuring an irregularly shaped solid object's volume). The facility has a team Searching for the best equipment? Patented design delivers superior performance.
