Registered Communications Distribution Designer ® (RCDD ® ) Registered Telecommunications Project Manager ™ (RTPM ® ) Michael Bonaccorsi Michael believes "volunteering at BICSI helps us all stay relevant!" He loves contributing to an organization he respects in a field he loves, to help keep BICSI on top of technology, trends, and the continuing education in the ICT industry. "I had no clue when I first volunteered of the benefits it would afford. I was quite confident in myself and my skills until I stepped into the ring with all these people that I professionally knew or knew of as leaders in the industry and I started to doubt what I could contribute to this brain trust. But the 'whole being greater than the sum of its parts' rang true. I've learned more in my interactions with my fellow volunteers than I have in any training, and that says a lot. I consider most of these people my extended family." Favorite BICSI Memory "I have quite a few, and I make new ones at every single conference I attend." Heather Callaway Heather decided to volunteer because she knows that an organization like BICSI needs volunteers to keep things moving. "BICSI needs vocal people to help be voices for others, too." "The value in volunteering is priceless because I know how much my small amount of time is truly needed. Professionally, volunteering has been incredible because I work with some amazing industry professionals (who I think of as BICSI celebrities). Personally, it just feels good to give back." Favorite BICSI Memory Heather says that earning the RCDD credential was her best memory, but a close second was receiving a call from Mungree Singh asking for an interview when she was nominated for the RCSC. "It feels amazing knowing that my colleagues believe in me, my experience, and my opinion." INTRODUCING YOUR VOLUNTEER CREDENTIAL CHAIRS CREDENTIALING Page 31
