Rotary pocket feeder provides
controlled feeding, rare earth
magnet contamination detection
Rotary pocket feeder provides controlled-flow feed of
free-flowing materials to hammermills and other size
reduction devices. Feeder is equipped with an air inlet
to allow venting to downstream size reduction equip-
ment. Feeder can be equipped with a rare earth hinged
magnet with stainless steel stripper plate that can be
operated manually or automatically. Feeder's internal
arched flow plate controls the material depth and dis-
charge point onto the magnet face for detecting ferrous
contaminants before they enter downstream equip-
ment. Feeder's 10-inch-diameter rotor is a multirow,
staggered-pocket design of stainless steel construction
and is driven by an inline helical gear reducer with AC
motor. Feeder is available in 14-, 24-, and 34-inch widths.
