Craft Beer Week and the Montana Brew Fest The Downtown Great Falls Association understands the importance of the craft beer culture in the State of Montana, and celebrates all that it brings to our community for a week in June! During Craft Beer Week you will find activities for every level of beer lover, from educational events to dinner pairings, obstacle courses, and trivia nights, along with special collaboration brews created by our local breweries and tap takeovers from breweries across the state. To wrap up the week, the Downtown Association hosts the Montana Brew Fest, inviting breweries from around the state to come show off their best brews and latest creations. Awards are given based on a rigorous judging competition for Brewery of the Year, and People's Choice. You don't want to miss this week long event, cheers! Downtown Night Market The Downtown Great Falls Association invites you to stroll along Central Avenue and check out the market vendors, store fronts, and patio seating during the Downtown Night Market. Craft, art, clothing, and food vendors are set up down the center of Central Avenue, with live music and a family friendly atmosphere. Grab dinner and take a walk around, meet up with friends, or bring the family down for a fun filled evening event in Downtown Great Falls. July The 4th of July Hootenanny You will want to clear your schedule on the 4th of July and make your way to downtown Great Falls, Montana for a birthday celebration for America like no other. This free downtown street hoedown kicks off shortly after the annual 4th of July parade. There will be up to 4 blocks of party zone where alcohol and food will be available as a giant stage is set up at the corner of 5th and Central. This event kicked off in 2019 with over 6,000 people in attendance as Granger Smith put on an event like no other in the state of Montana. Montana State Fair For nine days, thousands of Montanan's enjoy a carnival, an extravaganza of night shows, rodeos, horse racing, good eats, free entertainment, livestock judging, and agricultural exhibits at the Montana ExpoPark. Downtown Sidewalk Sale Downtown Great Falls is the place to be for the best summer sales around. Central Avenue is turned into a walking mall and the stores bring their merchandise outside! Vendors, shopping, and fun from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on the last Saturday of July. August ArtsFest MONTANA Each year, the streets of Downtown Great Falls come alive with color and creativity in a week-long mural festival known as ArtsFest MONTANA. Great Falls hosts world-class artists in order to transform walls with their talents. Waltz your way downtown to see the amazing art additions with a self-led downtown art walk. September A Night at the Ozark Music lovers pack the house listening to the sweet sounds of traditional jazz as it wafts through the open- beam ceilings of The History Museum for an event that brings top-tier talent to the Electric City attracting sold- out crowds, history buffs, and jazz aficionados from outside Montana. MOtoberfest Mighty Mo Brewing Co and the Downtown Association host a fun filled day in celebration of Oktoberfest. The event is a street festival with live music, food, games, and a fun run that includes all three breweries in town. October What Women Want Expo The Great Falls Tribune event brings families and friends together for entertainment, self-improvement, and education. Vendors fill the Four Seasons Arena and the Expo's Comedy Night and Fun Run draw great crowds. Historic Ghost Tours The Downtown Chicks, a committee of the Downtown Great Falls Association, invites you on a tour of the haunted side of Downtown Great Falls. Characters from Great Falls' past will tell you their stories, show you the locations that are the most haunted, and take you on tour of some of the creepiest, darkest places in Downtown. Guests ride along on the Historic Trolley as the stories from the past are told, you may even see a ghost yourself. Tours are hosted at the end of October.
