Mixer's fluid-bed, patented mixing tools
produce MCP in single machine
Ploughshare mixer operates using a mechanically
generated fluid-bed system to mix various dry mate-
rials, including monocalcium phosphate (MCP), an
essential component in feed and phosphate fertil-
izers. Mixer can produce MCP in a single machine,
covering all process phases to eliminate the need
for additional equipment and process steps. Mixer's
patented shovels rotate close to the mixing vessel's
horizontal, cylindrical drum and are designed to pick
up the raw materials and throw them into the free
mixing compartment. Mixer process lifts material
off the drum wall against the centrifugal force, gen-
erating a mechanical fluid bed for thorough mixing
with a short retention time even at high throughputs
up to 50 metric t/h (about 55.12 t/h). Mixer includes
additional choppers in the mixing drum to break up
agglomerated material and permit systematic granu-
lation. Mixer offers stability and minimized cleaning
intervals along with special wear-protection to
shield mixing tools and shovel arms against the high
mechanical and corrosive stress caused by contact
with the mixture.
