June 2021 / 55 Feeding system is ATEX certified, meters material through proprietary feeding tool Feedos S line bulk material feeding system applies the supplier's highly accurate feeding and dosing system in explosion-hazard environments to ATEX certification standards. System is suitable for flow- resistant and free-flowing powders, gran- ules, and other dry bulk materials. System meters combustible mate- rials through a proprietary rectangular helix feeding tool and chamber for constant material flow at high feedrates up to 20 ft 3 /h with virtually no maintenance. System features ATEX-certified motors, electrical components, and load cells in a sealed, dust-tight design to eliminate the potential for ignition. System is suitable for ATEX zone 20 internal and zones 21 and 22 exter- nal in areas where an explosive atmosphere with a cloud of com- bustible dust is likely to occur or remain present continuously or for long periods of time during normal operation. System's modular design allows complete external disassem- bly without tools while eliminating internal contact for added safety and complete cleaning. Gericke USA, Somerset, NJ 855-888-0088 www.gerickegroup.com Bag-dump module contains dust generated during manual material dumping Bag-dump module can be installed on the lid of bulk solid mixers, blenders, size-reduction equip- ment, and storage vessels to contain dust generated during manual bulk material dumping. Self-contained module includes a dust hood with a hinged door, a blower that draws airborne dust onto the outer surface of two PTFE 1-micron pleated cartridge filters, and air nozzles that peri- odically dislodge accumulated dust, returning it to the vessel below. Module's standard remov- able, safety-interlocked access panel allows inspection or filter replacement, while an optional safety- interlocked grate can be removed for interior access. Mod- ule can be mounted to a floor hopper to charge conveyors or gravity discharge from mezza- nines into process equipment or storage vessels. Module is con- structed of stainless steel finished to industrial, pharmaceutical, or food-grade standards. Munson Machinery, Utica, NY 315-797-0090 www.munsonmachinery.com Baghouse collector simplifies filter number, size for efficient changeouts Torit rugged pleat (RP) baghouse dust collector preseparates up to 97 percent of dust before it reaches filters, and the collector's pulse-cleaning system pulses directly over the Ultra-Web spun- bonded filters to help extend their life span. Collector was recognized as "Product of the Year" by the Waterloo Filtration Institute for its design. Collector contains two to three times more media than a typical baghouse, resulting in the unit having 44 percent fewer filters while providing 60 percent more media than traditional bag- house collectors. Collector's filters are only 5 feet tall and are easier to handle than traditional 8-, 10-, or 12-foot bags and cages, resulting in a 50 percent reduction in filter replacement time per filter and a 72 percent reduction in total col- lector changeout times. Collector can provide up to 94 percent fewer emissions when compared to other category baghouses. Donaldson, Minneapolis, MN 800-365-1331 www.donaldson.com
