Gambling with
House Money
Arguably the biggest hit of the 2021 conference
was Wednesday's Casino Night. Players received
"Casino Cash" to purchase starting chips. The more
chips you won, the more raffle tickets you could
purchase, increasing the chance of winning big
prizes like a Makita tool set, a Yeti cooler, a high-
end smoker and more.
The "Casino Cash" featured an easter egg for
Noria insiders — the smiling face of our own VP of
Services, Wes Cash, graced the front of each bill.
There were 50+ dealers running games of Blackjack,
Caribbean Stud, Texas Hold 'Em and Roulette.
"Casino Night was a blast," said Michael Mazur,
Supervisor, Trainer and Level III Mechanic at
Schwan's Global Supply Chain. "We had fun laughing
and relaxing."
With two free drink tickets and a buffet of delicious
appetizers to choose from, Casino Night was a hit with
conference-goers who have been missing a chance to
get back in the community after a long stint apart.
A Bourbon Experience
to Remember
The Evan Williams Bourbon Experience was a chance for
attendees to get a private, after-hours guided tour of the distillery
process. Guests got a look at how the drink is distilled while
sharing some good old Kentucky history. The night wrapped up
with a trip to the tasting room, followed by dinner and more drinks
in the on-site speakeasy.
Prizes & Closing Ceremony
Reliable Plant 2021 ended on a high note with the final prize
giveaway and closing ceremony at noon on Thursday. A crowd
formed around the Reliability Stage as Noria Executive Vice
President Brett O'Kelley, and Corporate Event Planner Sheryl
Adekoya, presented the 25 giveaway prizes, including an Apple
iPad, Xbox One X, Bose QuietComfort headphones and more.
Wes Cash closed us out, thanking attendees for joining Noria
for another successful year of learning and community at the
Reliable Plant conference. But there was still one more surprise
in store.
