The AV content sharing association between the primary AV stands and the secondary AV stands is established
by configuring AV over IP network endpoints though the university's existing enterprise network switching infra-
structure using a hardware appliance. This appliance allows installers to discover the AV over IP encoder and decoder
endpoints and configure them to form an AV over IP switching matrix on an IGMP-managed IP network (Figure 3).
The managed AV system streams HDMI with video resolution up to 4K and embedded digital audio, as well as RS-232
control signals. Figure 4 shows the university's AV over IP network configuration topology.
