So, when a customer was looking for a way to help their R&D department save time during the drug development process, we found a way to innovate a new capsule that could help improve product development timelines by as much as six months. Developed for high containment of potent compounds, the KD7070-WIP vertical tablet deduster combination unit with integral metal detector is the latest of a long line of Kraemer dedusters built specifically for high containment. The unit features a dust tight housing, tablet inlet integrated to the tablet press and a metal-detector that function together as a fully contained system. SMEPAC testing has proven the dust tight performance to meet OEB 5 (1 microgram per cubic meter OEL level or less). WIP nozzles are strategically placed for complete wet down and wash out of harmful dusts prior to disassembly for final cleaning in safety. The state of the art KC7070 touch screen controller allows for easy operation of the deduster, metal detector, diverter and cleaning recipes. The controller integrates the innovative Kramer acceleration sensor which allows for a constant flow of tablets under varying tablet loads for easy operation. With a de-dusting and conveying capacity of 6.3 million tablets per hour the KD7070 can operate with the fastest tablet presses on the market.
