He was the Metro Conference singles and doubles champion in 1975 and 1976 and helped his Tiger team to a No. 18 national ranking in 1975. He served as the head coach of the men’s tennis program at Memphis from 1999-2004. Steve Mansour (1990) – Went undefeated in Metro Conference play from 1978-1981 in singles play and lost only once in doubles play. After 20 years of professional tennis, Mansour moved back to the Memphis area and is also a lifetime member of the United States Tennis Association. 2011 TIGER TENNIS EXPERIENCE Henry Ladyman (1992) – He was the first import player from Australia. Ladyman compiled an overall record of 63-10 in his four years at Memphis and led the team to two Missouri Valley Conference titles. Keith West (1996) – Came to the Tiger tennis team at the age of 16. As a sophomore, he gained the No. 1 position and won the NCAA Indoor Championship in singles. West finished his career with an overall record of 124-41 in his singles and doubles matches.
