1989 Jeff Hoyle, M.B.A. in marketing. Jeff received his Ed.D. in higher education, assessment and global studies in December. His dissertation was "Exploring Stakeholder Relationships in a University Internship Program: A Qualitative Study." His dissertation chair was Dr Dan Kaczynski. Kristen Bouck Kemp, B.S.B.A. in marketing. Kristen recently purchased MACNLOW Associates, a company providing public safety training and consulting services in the areas of law enforcement, 911 dispatch, fi re, courts and corrections. MACNLOW has been in business for 37 years. It is based in Grand Ledge and provides services to agencies throughout the United States. Lisa Melvin, B.S.B.A. in marketing and management. Lisa and her husband, Greg, are both 1989 graduates of CMU. Their daughter, Christine, is a junior in high school and is considering CMU as her college. They also have triplets who turned 11 in March. 1987 Donald Weiss, B.S.B.A. in hospitality services administration. Don is proud to share that his son, Alexander Weiss, is in his fi rst year of attending Central Michigan University and is residing in Woldt Hall. 1982 Bonny Brookes, B.A.A. in offi ce administration. Bonny has published a book titled, "Linked Lives," which is a memoir about an extraordinary 40-year friendship. 1981 Steve Jesnek, B.S.B.A. in business administration. Steve is proud to announce that he just published his fi rst book titled, "Deliberate Deceit," under the pen name Mitchell R. Stevens. It is a mystery thriller and the fi rst of a planned series of books. Kathy Kirchner, B.A.A. in offi ce administration. The Kirchner family resides in League City, Texas. Daughter Kelsey Kirchner will attend CMU in fall 2014. 1960 Hans Andrews, B.S. in commerce and business administration. Hans has published a book titled, "Recognition vs. Merit Pay For Our Best Teachers," released in January.
