With the success and growth of Willamette University's MBA programs in Salem and Portland, Oregon, the Atkinson Graduate School of Management is pleased to announce open positions for two administrators and two tenure-track faculty members. The Atkinson School offers two full-time MBA programs (Early Career MBA and MBA for Career Change) in Salem, Oregon and the MBA for Professionals (evening program) in both Salem and Portland, Oregon. ADMINISTRATOR: SENIOR ASSOCIATE DEAN The successful candidate will be academically qualified by our standards and have an earned Ph.D., demonstrated competence in teaching and research, and significant administrative experience. He/she will support and coordinate faculty committee work, plan and negotiate teaching assignments and schedules, assist in managing research grants, and teach a course or two each academic year. The Senior Associate Dean manages the internal operations of the School and takes the lead responsibility for AACSB and NASPAA re-accreditation efforts. He/she will ensure excellence in every aspect of delivery of our programs. He/she will represent the Dean and School in a variety of contexts. The Senior Associate Dean will report directly to, and work closely with, the Dean to ensure that the School's operations deliver excellent service to students and faculty. ADMINISTRATOR: ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE DEAN AND DIRECTOR OF ADMISSION— MBA FOR PROFESSIONALS The successful candidate will have at least a master's degree (an MBA from an AACSB accredited institution is strongly preferred) and significant admission and evening MBA program administration experience. He/she will engage students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and employers in achieving our MBA for Professionals (evening MBA) admission and program goals. This requires highly customized, very attentive care and cultivation of discerning professional applicants as they move from prospective student to admitted student to graduate. The Assistant/Associate Dean and Director of Admissions will work with students, faculty, staff, and administrators to plan the annual MBA for Professionals calendar and course schedule, ensure that academic regulations and expectations are well communicated and adhered to, and student life and career management needs are met. He/she will manage the internal operations of the Willamette University Portland Center which includes relationships with our landlord, food service provider, technical service providers, and the like. He/she will serve as the Atkinson School's ambassador to University and external constituencies who use the facility. He/she will ensure excellence in every aspect of delivery of our MBA for Professionals program. FACULTY: GLOBAL MANAGEMENT/STRATEGY, QUANTITATIVE METHODS As a highly collaborative, non-departmentalized program, the Atkinson Graduate School of Management seeks a new faculty member in global management/strategy and in quantitative methods. Faculty members at the Atkinson School embrace collaborative scholarship, teach highly experiential courses, and engage in quality research that crosses sectors and functional boundaries. The mission of the Atkinson School is to prepare graduates for success in the business, government and not-for-profit sectors. The full- time program is accredited by AACSB International and NASPAA. Candidates must have an earned doctorate, coupled with a strong record of teaching and scholarship; have the ability and motivation to pursue scholarly work, both independently and collaboratively; demonstrate ability to design, develop and deliver high quality MBA courses.
