The director will be responsible for leading a program committed to achieving national and international leadership in agribusiness research and education. The successful candidate must possess a post-graduate degree in agribusiness, agricultural economics, business or a related field and have a strong record of academic leadership at a major research university. Must have demonstrated written and verbal communication skills for professional and non- professional audiences. Must have strong interpersonal skills and a record of partnership building with alumni, faculty, staff, and students and be experienced in maintaining and expand- ing links with the agribusiness community, both nationally and internationally, and other stakeholders relevant to the mission of an academic program. Desired qualifications include experience in shared gov- ernance with faculty, staff, students, and administrators and in managing budgets for a complex organization. Successful candidates should have demonstrated experience in attracting, managing and conducting competitively-funded research and experience in speaking before external and internal audiences. Knowledge of and experience with international agribusiness markets and institutions is also desired.
