As an everyday fixture in the lineup, Eli Hynes had a monstrous season with 11 home runs and 47 RBI. Hynes, an ABCA All-South Region selection, had a team-high 17 doubles and produced 23 multi- hit games. Hynes appeared as the designated hitter for much of the season, but made eight starts at first, seven starts in right field and one start in leſt.
