PRODUCT NEWS PRODUCT NEWS 22 | January - February 2017 | www.machinerylubrication.com GREASE GUN KIT Amsoil's new deluxe grease gun kit was created to enable smooth, mess-free grease application in automotive, power sports and commercial equipment. The kit comes with one grease gun, one grease cartridge and a grease coupler. The grease gun has a capacity of 3,500 pounds per square inch and offers two grease-distribution options: flexible hose and rigid pipe. The rigid pipe allows one-handed grease application, while the flexible hose eases access to hard-to- reach locations. Two head ports provide increased flexibility and comfort. An easy-to-use plunger simplifies loading and makes greasing equipment even easier. The Compu- trac Vapor Pro XL incorporates several new features to improve repeatability, precision and flexibility, such as a user-friendly touchscreen and an intuitive interface. An upgraded heater also increases the upper limit for testing temperatures to 300 degrees C and allows for better temperature control. The analyzer is com - patible with multiple sizes of sample vials and can be used in a wide variety of applications, from plastics and petroleum prod- ucts to pharmaceuticals and chemicals. It can be attached to an in-ser vice motor-operated valve (MOV) utilizing an adapter and lubricator unit. Once attached, the lubricator unit creates a seal around the stem nut, allowing the introduction of grease with a standard grease gun. The grease gun is attached to a typical hydraulic Zerk fitting, enabling pressurized grease to displace the existing lubrication on the stem threads and in the stem nut, as well as providing a new layer of lubrication. Made almost entirely of renewable bio-based mate - rials with no heav y metals, the aluminum-complex grease incorporates environmentally safe additives and improved water washout properties. The drill rod lubricant is manufactured using a microwave-based process and designed to be particularly effective in and around high water flow with a balance of adhesiveness and cohesiveness.
