Association Highlights AutoQuotes: A Valued Friend to the Dealer Community ith an eye toward staying ahead of the next technology trend and streamlining channel processes, AutoQuotes has remained a valuable industry partner throghout its 20 plus years in business. Remember life before AutoQuotes? Technology tools like AQ360 and the new AQ app have helped to make the day-to-day less tedious for many DSR's and improved efficiency in several FEDA dealerships—a fact that has not gone unnoticed. In 2011, FEDA recognized its contributions to the industry by naming the founder of AutoQuotes, Kent Motes, the receipient of its President's Dealer-based Distribution Award. Kent and AutoQuotes President Michael Greenwald have close ties to the dealer community. Kent grew up in the E&S industry; his dad, Henry Motes, owned E.H.Thompson, a Jacksonville, Fla., dealership. And prior to joining AutoQuotes, Michael served many years at the New Jersey dealer M Tucker. So their knowledge and heart rest firmly with serving the dealer community's needs. As a result, FEDA has maintained a close relationship with AutoQuotes and this relationship has led to exclusive features for FEDA members within AutoQuotes.They are as follows: • FEDA members can export AutoQuotes product data (total of 400,000 products) and use this data to update inventory prices or company web cata- W Ray Herrick Executive Vice President ray@feda.com logs. The export includes model numbers, specifications, list prices, physical data (weights, dimensions), pack sizes and brand names. • FEDA members can also export the entire database of color pictures. There are single shots and group shots for 321,000 products, a great addition for web catalogs and point of sale systems.
