About Pocono Health System
As the sole community hospital in Monroe County, the Pocono Health System has been given the unique opportunity to concentrate on the surrounding area with precise focus to its needs. Heart disease, cancer, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), endocrinology and many more healthcare issues are addressed by the latest technology, an expert team of medical staff and a dedicated group of members that make up the PHS family.
It's because of this devoted force that PHS is able to provide continual services to the community. These services include the Dale & Frances Hughes Cancer Center, now one year strong in our new building, as well as the addition of new service lines such as dermatology and The Northeast Pennsylvania Joint Replacement Center.
With a finger on the pulse of the community, PHS will constantly strive to grow and expand to the ever developing changes and needs of the population.
Decisions as a non-profit are guided by a volunteer Board of Directors who are personally dedicated to the health and well-being of their community. All of our facilities promise to provide world class care, regardless of a patient's ability to pay. No one is denied access to quality health care and we all benefit from the presence of top healthcare professionals who live and work in our community. As a non-profit organization, it is in the best interest of our community for our hospital to perform well financially, as excess revenue is re invested over expenses in maintaining our community's health and wellness.
Much like the creation of a warm, protective quilt, PHS is a collection of distinctive patches, making up the whole blanket.
