For, even though our nation's Capitol was founded and built by people of faith, current policies, practices, and legislation have failed to reflect the biblical precepts that are its foundation. Exasperated and discouraged at our nation's downward trajectory, many Christians refuse to participate in politics completely while others have become involved in organized lobbying efforts to pressure Lawmakers for legislative changes. Capitol Ministries looks to the Bible for our methodology. Scripture says to take the Word of God, not complaints about government, to our nation's leaders. Following the example set by the Apostle Paul, we established a ministry in Washington, D.C. to influence the influencers with the Gospel. We have been taking the Word of God to our nation's leaders since 2010 when the first D.C. ministry was established to Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. A separate ministry was planted in 2015 for U.S. Senators. Today the ministries are endorsed by 68 Congressmen.
