Tablets & Capsules January 2020 55 MFG TRAY Customer: Manufacturer of nutraceutical, dietary supplements and over- the-counter (OTC) drug products. In 1994, the pharmaceutical company purchased soft gel drying trays and dollies from MFG Tray. In 2018, MFG Tray was contacted by the same pharmaceutical company for additional trays due to their expansion. Longevity: For over 25 years, the pharmaceutical company has been using MFG Tray model 642008 soft gel drying trays and dollies in their curing process. Due to their expanding business, they have reached out to MFG Tray for additional trays to increase to the current line of trays used. Fiberglass reinforced composite material is long-last- ing, durable, high-weight capacity and is much stronger than ther- mos-plastics which is why the company has had their trays in production for 25+ years. MFG trays and containers are known to stand the test of time due to the composite material being impervious to cutting oils, detergents, mild acids and alkaline solutions and the ability to handle operating temperatures ranging from -60° to 250°F. Benefit Summary: • Designed for drying and curing of soft gels and capsules • Drop ends and/or sides for quicker drying • Conforms to FDA Regulation Title 21 CFR 177.2420 • Interlock stacking increases drying room efficiency • Temperature range continuous -60° to 250° F (-51° to 121° C) • Easy integration with process equipment • Won't bend, dent or deflect under heavy loads • Smooth, non-porous surface is easy to clean • Heavy-duty dolly available Molded Fiber Glass Tray Co. 6175 Route 6 Linesville, Pa 16424 (800) 458-6050 info@mfgtray.com www.mfgtray.com No Scooping. No Dumping. No Compressed-Air. Gentle & Damage-Free Conveying of Gelatin, Liquid-Filled and Split-Capsules Automated material han- dling utilizing vacuum convey- ing technology improves phar- maceutical manufacturing processes in more ways than one. Whether direct-charge loading of blenders or other vacuum tolerant process vessels, refilling pharmaceutical feeders, trans- ferring ingredi- ents to tablet presses, or handling gelatin capsules or coated tablets to packaging, vacuum conveying has become an indispensable tool in streamlining pharmaceutical and nutraceutical production lines. Engineered for easy and damage-free handling of many types of capsules including gelatin, liquid-filled, split-capsules and coated tablets, a Gel Cap & Capsule Conveying System vacuum conveys up to and over 2500 units per minute. The compact 316 stainless steel filterless vacuum receiver is 100% electric and operates without the use of compressed air. A continuous-duty direct-drive vacuum producer eliminates this need. The fully opening dump valve transfers product to counting, polishing, inspection, weighing, filling and packaging stations. Material can be drawn directly from drums, boxes, storage containers or feed-bins. In addition to providing safe transfer of dry bulk materials in compliance with OSHA regulations, vacuum conveying helps maintain tight industry standards for sanitation and safety. Compared to manual transport and loading, a properly designed vacuum conveying system reduces safety hazards, increases speed at processing lines, streamlines production, and automates packaging. Ladder and stair-climbing with containers of raw materials, manual scooping, messy dumping and mishandling of product is eliminated.
