10 / May 2020 powderbulk.com acquired a new production facil- ity in St. Charles, MO. The plant will add more than 100,000 square feet of production capacity for the company. TNT produces partially baked and self-rising pizza crusts for frozen pizza manufacturers and food service customers at two facilities in Green Bay that employ around 400 workers. The plant should be operational by the second half of 2020 and will have state-of-the-art equipment to help enhance TNT's produc- tion capabilities. TNT is a portfolio company of Peak Rock Capital, a middle-market private invest- ment firm that acquired TNT from Tyson Foods Inc. in 2018. The acqui- sition follows TNT's expansion efforts in 2019, including added production capacity and products such as organic, gluten-free, and vegetable-based pizza crust options. Technology addresses safe reactive chemical storage, disposal Engineers at University of California, Riverside have created a new open- source computer program called by a Canadian university. For the next 5 years, TMMC will also be the title sponsor of the university's annual AutoTech Symposium. The investment will launch an undergraduate engineering innova- tion challenge and support various student, research, and outreach initiatives. In recognition of the donation, a wing on the third floor of the university's Engineering 7 building will be renamed the Toy- ota Additive Manufacturing Wing. Fred Wolf, president of TMMC, says, "Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada has a long history with the University of Waterloo, and we look forward to extending this partner- ship by further investing in their important research and education. Toyota shares many of Waterloo Engineering's research priorities, and we're proud to be supporting them as they continue to drive engi- neering innovation forward." Pizza crust maker acquires Missouri production facility TNT Crust LLC, a pizza crust maker and distributor head- quartered in Green Bay, WI, has reliable, local, high-quality supply to serve an increased demand for the material throughout Southeast Asia. This project is part of a global plan to expand and debottleneck carbon black capacity to meet a goal of pro- ducing 300,000 metric tons (330,693 tons) per year. Carbon black is typ- ically used to manufacture tires, industrial rubber, and specialty car- bons.
