BY JULIE BESONEN AND JULIE GALLAGHER 2020 L A AWARDS SUMMER AWARD HONOREES S FA's 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award recipients include: Dan Cohen, former Specialty Food Association board chair, who gave back to the Association after its members guided him during the early days of his joining his family's business, Clearbrook Farms; Julee Rosso and Sheila Lukins, who changed the way Americans eat and cook by co-founding one of the first gourmet food shops in the country, The Silver Palate, and co-authoring three cookbooks with millions of copies sold; Tim Metzger, founder of the Tillen Farms brand of cocktail garnishes, who served as SFA board chair and has taught "The Basics" 8-hour SFA boot camp course designed for new companies entering the industry; and Shawn McBride, vice president of Foah International and former SFA board chair, who brought celebrity chef Paul Prudhomme's Magic Seasoning Blends from a startup to a 150,000-square-foot operation.
