54 / September 2020 powderbulk.com Bulk bag discharging system FDA-, USDA- approved for food and beverage processing Material Master bulk bag dis- charging system is suitable for discharging food ingredients into an existing process. System is painted using a finishing system designed for use in food and bev- erage processing and is FDA- and USDA-approved for areas of direct and indirect dry food contact. Sys- tem has a highly cross-linked film that resists chemicals and solvents and doesn't support mold, fungi, or micro-organism growth. System features an electric chain hoist and bag lifting frame, bulk bag condi- tioning system, gate for partial bag discharge, and a round bag-spout access chamber and pneumatic bag-spout clamping system for dust-tight discharge. Material Transfer & Storage Allegan, MI 800-836-7068 www.materialtransfer.com Separator redesign offers performance, low maintenance RevX-E eccentric eddy current sep- arator offers performance with a more maintenance-friendly design. Separator features an eccentrically mounted magnetic rotor within a nonconductive shell for separation of nonferrous metals. Separator's rare earth rotor produces a pow- erful magnetic field focused at the end of the unit's belt. Redesigned separator takes up less floor space and incorporates a cantilevered frame, allowing maintenance staff to change the belt in less than 10 minutes. Separator's new hood with adjustable splitter allows operators to handle nonferrous materials in varying sizes and ensure optimum separation. Eriez Erie, PA 814-835-6000 www.eriez.com Bulk bag unloading system automates bulk bag discharge Flowmatic EF500 bulk bag unload- ing system is fed by a set of motorized conveyors that deliver the bulk bag to a hydraulic gripper system. System has an integrated pallet stacker that removes the pal- let once the bulk bag is removed. System's autonomous bulk bag handling is done using a hydrau- lic gripper system, mounted on a bridge crane, which transfers the bulk bags from the conveyor to the discharge hoppers. System opens the bulk bag via cutting with a cross or U-shaped blade, depend- ing on the bulk bag design. System automatically discharges the bag's material, feeding it into the process, and the bulk bag is automatically discharged to a bulk bag compac- tor. System only requires manual intervention to unload the stacked empty pallets and load the bulk bags to be emptied. Palamatic Process Philadelphia, PA 215-498-9303 www.palamaticprocess.com
