SUPPLIER NOTES Scientific Dust Collectors completes ANSI/ASHRAE 199-2016 testing Scientific Dust Collectors (SDC) has completed its ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 199-2016 test lab and recently completed testing on the company's reverse pulse-jet bag- house collector. ANSI/ASHRAE 199-2016 is a six-stage testing method to objectively determine the performance of an industrial pulse-cleaned dust collector. The testing provides a per- formance matrix by which an industrial dust collector can be measured. The test measures and documents emissions, differen- tial pressure, and compressed- air consumption. The company conducted test- ing using SDC's standard design and nozzle cleaning technology, and an air-to-cloth ratio of 10.6- to-1.0 was used on the required fine powder. To find more details on SDC's results and read a sum- mary of the report, go to www. scientificdustcollectors.com/ ashrae-199-test-standards/. SDC, Alsip, IL, a division of Venturedyne Ltd., is an equipment supplier for dust collection, indoor air quality, environmental test chambers, ventilation, metal detec- tors, and submicron laser particle counters for cleanrooms.
