Lonza to invest $93 million in CHI division BASEL, Switzerland—Lonza will invest $93 million in its Capsules and Health Ingredients (CHI) division, allowing the company to expand its capsule production capacity by 30 billion capsules per year. The investment will help to meet grow- ing demand for the division's gelatin, vegetarian, and specialty polymers portfolio as well as its liquid-filled hard capsules sold under the Licaps brand. The two-year investment will occur across the company's global manufacturing and supply chain net- work, including manufacturing sites in the US, Belgium, France, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Japan, and China. Gattefossé announces plans for Texas manufacturing plant LYON, France—Gattefossé has announced plans to invest €30 mil- lion in its industrial operations and build a new manufacturing plant in Lufkin, Texas.
