Paul's words cry out its pages: Awake you who sleep, arise from the dead, walk circumspectly, not as fools but wise. Yet by and by, we find ourselves just going along the path, dragging our feet. Jesus said: "I wish you were hot or cold." Paul said: "Stand. Awake. Arise. Walk." The Lord knows we are not made of iron. So if you are tired, stop and rest. If you are sleepy, take a nap. Carrying the Lord's armor is not a light thing, and He does not expect us to carry it alone. Our peace and our power come from Him, feet shod, waist girded, breastplate worn, helment on, shield of faith in one hand, sword of the Spirit in the other, praying watchfully every day. Prayer: Lord, forgive us when we forget we do not have a spirit of weakness but of power and a strong mind. Lord, forgive us when we stepped into battle in civilian clothes and under our own power. Lord, forgive us when we forgot that our weapons are not carnal but spiritual for the pulling down of strongholds. Lord, forgive us the wearing of the coat of self-righteousness instead of the breastplate of righteousness. Forgive us when we stepped into battle barefoot and unprepared. Forgive us when we let down the shield of faith during our trials. Forgive us when we trusted in another hat and another defense save this great sword you've given us. O Lord, forgive us when we have fallen asleep on the midnight watch of our homes and or children and let the enemy step in and take over. Forgive Us When Dear Old Allis News, Love your magazine.
