I need something to go get the mail. Also looking for a belt pulley for a D17. Keep up the good work, Dave and Heidi. Thank you. John Glick, New Holland, Pa. OAN was first choice Dear David and Heidi, I just received the spring issue of Old Allis News. You have outdone yourselves. I am a newer subscriber, but this is the most information-packed issue I have seen. Actually, Old Allis News was part of a trifecta for me. I was out of town for a week. When I picked up my mail, I found Old Allis News, Vintage Power and Heritage Iron all waiting for me. I went to Old Allis News first. Please sign me up for two more years of Old Allis News. Keep up the good work, and thank you. Sincerely, John Jensen, Knoxville, Iowa Still has Dad's 'B' Dear Old Allis News, Have been receiving Old Allis News for over 30 years. Grew up on a 1938 "B" that my dad bought new. I was five years old and still have the tractor, Serial No. 194. At my age (92), I only subscribe one year at a time. Thanks, Merlyn Meyer, Gary, Minn. 6070 comes in handy Dad worked for A-C dealer Dear Dave and Heidi, My name is Larry Owen. I was born on July 20, 1940, in Rice Lake, Wis., and spent my early years on a dairy farm. After my father sold the farm, he went to work at Rice Lake Implement, where they sold and serviced Allis-Chalmers and New Holland equipment. At the end of fifth grade, our family moved west to Oregon, settling near the lumber mills in the hills. Throughout high school, I rode a bus 13.6 miles each way and became an active member of the Future Farmers of America, focusing on poultry for my FFA project. When I left for college, my father repurposed my old chicken coop into a boathouse. Larry Owen, Cookeville, Tenn. 4 OLD ALLIS NEWS
