Red fans like orange, too Dear Old Allis News, Enclosed is a check for another informative and inspiring year of Old Allis News. As a wrote the check, I was reminded that I have Case IH and Massey friends who enjoy reading my copy. Amazing, isn't it? I guess we all need a little "color" in our lives. Keep up the good work. Myron Comfort, Marshfield, Mo. N.Y. GOTO had strong showing Dear Dave and Heidi, It was a real pleasure meeting you at the Canandaigua GOTO. What an excellent representation of A-C equipment. We used to have six A-C's in our stable but had to sell the farm and could only keep one WD45, which we restored. The whole town looks forward to seeing her out and about. Keep up the great work on the magazine. Orange forever. Randy Haseley, Sanborn, N.Y. Thanks for the shows Dear Old Allis News, Recently, I visited a friend's farm where they were planting corn. My memory of our getting a four- row planter and the excitement it brought is as clear as glass. Well, my friend's Massey-Ferguson planter had 24 rows. Unbelievable. So, I say to you and your wife, thanks for the work you put (in) to sponsor the Allis-Chalmers shows. Us old farm kids have many memories, and your shows help preserve them. Maybe I'll see you in Kalona, Iowa, on Father's Day. Clark Mefford, Ottumwa, Iowa My husband, Adam Helmer, recently passed unexpectedly, and 'though the Mayo could not save him, Adam was able to save five other lives through donating his organs and, I was told, through his tissue donation, he will improve others' lives for five years. Life-source.org made a Legacy video for him for me to share with who I wanted and I just wanted to share it with you, as it has some of his Allis equipment in it, and one picture, he is even reading the magazine: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HT0y08WUzMH- FM5AVFTKtGLjxYOSuKyy/view. Adam was a fun-loving, wonderful man who loved farming to his core. He had a fantastic sense of humor and made everyone smile. He is my heart and will be in it forever. As for Allis-Chalmers, I know he's wrenching on a few in heaven with a smile and making sure the Gleaner is ready for a bumper crop of golden wheat. Old Allis News always brought a smile to him, and he saved every issue. Sincerely, His loving wife, his "moo-mate," Julia Lane, Brantwood, Wis. EDITOR'S NOTE: Turn to Page 52 to see more about Helmer's love for A-C and farming. A true hero Dear Old Allis News, Good magazine. I look forward to getting it. I will be 87 years old come October and still get up on my Allis. I have five of them: WD45 (love it), WD, WC (1938), C, B (was my dad's tractor). Thanks again, Ron Robinson, Orleans, Mich. Reader still loves his Allises 5 OLD ALLIS NEWS
