Thank you to everyone who came out to support the museum. The Center will host a fall festival Oct 24. This family event will include a Tractor-n-Treat starting at 10 a.m., a kids' costume contest, games and food. Also, save the date: Dec. 5 will be the Christmas event with their famous Bingo game where everyone leaves a winner. For more information, visit https://rumelyallis.com. Heritage center hosting events Helmer is fondly missed Dear Old Allis News, Thank you so much for the info, and your kind response. I have already ordered a copy for our family. Adam (Helmer's) high school FFA advisor was Bob Panzer, and he first saw your article. He immediately sent us condolences. Adam was someone you didn't forget. Bob sent out a notice of Adam's death to his fellow FFA officers, and they sent back several numerous stories of Adam, many remembering that when the FFA would take field trips to a machinery "boneyard," it was Adam who led the way. He had a story for every part that they encountered about just what the farmer was doing that caused that piece of machinery to break. Adam was such a storyteller, like his grandpa. His friends here were stunned by his death, as were we all. We miss him and his spontaneous humor. Once again, thank you for your quick response. Tracy Reinhardt, Fond du Lac, Wis.
