The answer is to buy No. 1 diesel fuel. No. 1 contains no bio. They can't put bio in No. 1 fuel because bio will cause it to gel up quicker in the cold. Also add a few ounces of automatic transmission oil to the diesel. This will add more lubricity and helps to avoid any sticking of metering valves and pump plungers. I have been adding two quarts of transmission fluid to 90 gallons of No. 1 when I have my service tank filled. This has worked very well. If you have trouble finding No. 1 in the summer, a farm fuel supplier should be able to take care of you. Tips given on diesel injector pump life 63 OLD ALLIS NEWS
