A survey of what's available
Level detectors
Dynatrol detectors sense when powders, tablets, capsules, or
other bulk solids reach high-, intermediate-, and low levels
in bins, hoppers, or feeders. Detectors have no moving parts,
gaskets, or seals, and require no calibration. Combining
detectors with company's EC-501A control unit lets you acti-
vate process controls, alarms, or indicator lights. Detectors
sense solids of less than 0.5 pounds per cubic foot to more
than 60 pounds per cubic foot.

Synthetic filter
HemiPleat filter is made of lightweight, spun-bond polyester
media that resists moisture, accepts heavy dust loads, and
handles hygroscopic and sticky dusts. Its widely spaced pleats
maximize filter surface area, minimize pressure drop, and
release dust easily during pulse-cleaning. Washable media
withstands operating temperatures to 160°F. Standard media
is rated MERV 11. Addition of company's eXtreme nano-fiber
layer increases rating to MERV 15 and creates pre-filter that
enhances surface loading and extends service life. Filters fit
Farr Gold and most other cartridge dust collectors.

Powder receiver-conveyer
P30 receiver-conveyor uses vacuum sequencing to pneumat-
ically convey pharmaceutical powders and other bulk solids.
Applications include loading hoppers and refilling loss-in-
weight feeders. Unit has integral polyester filters with auto-
matic jet-pulse cleaning, disassembles quickly, and uses all
stainless steel components. Gaskets are made of FDA-
approved materials, and steep cone angle of 30-liter vessel
ensures complete discharge. Throughput—up to 1,800 kilo-
grams per hour—depends on material characteristics, con-
veying distance, plant layout, and discharge valve used.
