The 30th con- gress in 2012 attracted 167,000 attendees from nearly 100 countries, with 3,773 exhibitors from 56 coun- tries. According to Achema organizers, this year's emphasis on PAT evolved naturally and by necessity: "Precise, real-time process analytics is indis- pensable to future chemical produc- tion, which has to comply with in - creasingly higher standards in terms of individualization, quality control, and process efficiency. Since automa- tion has conquered all areas of the process industry, the call for innova- tive solutions from online analytics has made it into the next round."
