University of Sharjah College of Business and Management Vacancies The College of Business and Management is one of the eight colleges of the University of Sharjah. It is a fast growing college and currently has approximately nine hundred students in five undergraduate programs. The medium of instruction is English. The college seeks qualified candidates to fill the following positions in the Academic Year 2003–2004 depending on qualifica- tions and experience in the following departments. Department Accounting Business Administration Management Information Systems (2 positions) Specialization - Financial Accounting - Managerial - Operations Management/ Research - General Management - Marketing All MIS specializations with strong IT background Rank Asst/Assoc. Prof Asst/Assoc/Full Prof. Asst/Assoc/Full Prof. The successful candidate for any of the above positions should hold a Ph.D. degree in a relevant area from an accredited universi- ty, preferably from USA, Canada, UK or Australia and have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience, as well as research, profes- sional, and industrial or management expertise in the related field. The successful candidate must be fluent in English (language of instruction). Candidate should be conversant with computer software packages related to their specialization. Salary and Benefits: The University of Sharjah offers competitive salaries and a renewable two-year contract, although visiting positions for one year are also available. The benefits package includes: (1) Suitable furnished housing, (2) Group health insurance, (3) Annual round-trip excursion air tickets to Sharjah from the place of residence for the employee, spouse and up to three dependent children under age of 18, (4) Educational allowance for the teaching of children up to AED 20,000 for one child and up to AED 40,000 for all children, from KG2 through undergraduate level in or outside the UAE. (5) Annual paid leave of sixty days, (6) Moving allowance, and (7) One month's salary as gratuity for each year of service completed at the University paid annually.
