Vaginal tablet tester
VTT 1 vaginal tablet tester for assessing disintegration rate
meets requirements of PhEur chapter 2.9.2. Tester simplifies
setup and testing compared to generic suppository testing
equipment. Instrument comprises glass vessel for water bath,
disintegration basket, and disintegration basket holder. Glass
cover maintains humid environment. Tester also includes
thermostatically controlled hotplate and external probe to
maintain temperature at 36º to 37ºC.

Sample probe and filter
Sample probe and filter for manual and semi-automated sam-
pling includes two-piece probe with twist-and-lock housing
for routine and elevated sampling pressures. Probe gives
visual confirmation that filter housing is properly secured.
Ten- and 45-micron filters provide large surface area to facil-

Spectroscopic analyzer
TRS100 analyzer uses transmission Raman spectroscopy to
determine content uniformity and to quantify polymorphs in
tablets and capsules. Suitable as alternative to high-perfor-
mance liquid chromatography (HPLC), instrument operates
in R&D and process settings. It quantifies APIs and excipients
in seconds using single measurement. Limit of quantitation is
as low as 0.1 percent by weight, even for polymorphs and
intact tablets. Samples require no preparation, eliminating sol-
vents and other consumables. Sample trays accommodate cap-
sules and coated tablets as thick as 10 millimeters and glass
vials and powders. Instrument can measure hundreds of sam-
ples per hour and replace as many as 10 HPLC-based instru-
ments. Company also offers RapID handheld instrument that
verifies identify of raw materials through unopened packages.
