Pre-breaker
Kek Kibbler pre-breaker works with other Kek mills or as
stand-alone to pre-mill, de-agglomerate, and coarse-grind. In
operation, beaters slowly sweep lumps as large as 150 mil-
limeters against contoured grinding screen, reducing them to
2 to 3 millimeters. Size reduction combines impact, crushing,
cutting, and abrasion. Access door at non-drive end allows
quick screen changes. Optional cantilevered beaters eliminate
end bearing and are easier to clean, making them well suited
for pharma and fine-chemical applications.

Pin mill
CIM-18-S316 pharma-grade pin mill grinds friable powders,
flakes, and granules into coarse or fine particles (400 mesh).
Outer and inner discs swing away from unit on cantilevered
arms, providing full access to both sides of each disc and mill
housing for rapid cleaning and sanitizing. In operation, high-
speed rotation of inner disc creates centrifugal force that
accelerates material passing through central inlet of opposing
stationary disc. As material travels from center to periphery
of discs, it passes through five intermeshing rows of rotating
and stationary impact pins. Made of type 316 stainless steel,
unit features sanitary butterfly valve on air intake, sanitary fit-
tings at material intake and discharge, and wash-down motor.

Cone mill
Kek-Gardner Model CM540 sanitary cone mill performs
gentle, low-energy size reduction and distribution of particles
with minimal fines. It de-agglomerates dried or hygroscopic
materials, reduces size of wet materials to improve drying and
granulation before tabletting, and grinds out-of-spec tablets
for reuse. In operation, impeller drives material against coni-
cal screen and through apertures as small as 150 microns.
Screens change easily and 304 and 316 stainless steel com-
position allows wet and dry cleaning; unit is also available
with CIP or sterilize-in-place systems. Options include top,
bottom, or remotely located motor drives; high-containment
and glovebox configurations; and mobile construction.
