14 POWDER COATING, September 2016 Cavity probe for e-coating Probe is specially designed to measure the inside of car body cavities during e- coating applications. Probe has a long, curved, slim shape with a small flexible probe head, allowing it to fit through small openings in the car body to mea- sure coating thickness at areas which were not previously accessible. Probe's 3-point head provides precise place- ment and measurement accuracy, even when inserted into tight, hard-to-reach cavities. Probe also has a variable back stop that defines the distance from the entry hole to the measurement area.
