Pre-breaker
N200 Pharma Nibbler pre-breaker for size reduction or de-
agglomeration serves as alternative to hammer mill. Pre-breaker
accepts materials with particles as large as 150 millimeters, which
you can add by controlled feed or dumping. In operation, slow-
moving paddles guide material through screen, shearing them
into particles of 1 to 25 millimeters, depending on screen size.
It has 200-millimeter inlet and processes as much as 1,500
pounds per hour. Unit consumes little power and generates little
noise; minimizes product temperature rise and fines; and has low
rotational speed. Options include quick-release inlet, outlet, and
access door. Unit is small enough to install in glovebox and its
basket removes easily for cleaning. No special tools are required
for maintenance.

Bead mills
DeltaVita series bead mills reduce particles to 200 nanometers
or less, increasing surface area and improving dissolution and
bioavailability of poorly soluble APIs. Better bioavailability
reduces amount of API required, production costs, and risk of
side effects. GMP-compliant units produce batches of 15 milli-
liters to 4,000 liters. Laboratory mills accept grinding chambers
in range of sizes, use grinding media of 0.05 to 2 millimeters,
and separate media from product using centrifugal force.Com-
pany supplies FAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ validation documentation.
CIP and sterilize-in-place systems are optional for pilot- and
production-scale mills. Data recording and formulation man-
agement are also available.
