For Memphis golf, players know that student comes first in student-athlete, and Lady Tiger golfers work as hard in the classroom as they do on the course. The hard work paid off as the team posted a 3.76 team GPA during the spring 2010 semester, the highest ever for a team in Memphis athletics history.
For its dedication, Memphis earned the C-USA Sport Academic Award, which is given to the team with the highest academic standard. The Lady Tigers also ranked seventh nationally among all women’s golf programs in team GPA, according to the NGCA.

The Lady Tigers’ golf team had a perfect 1000 APR for the last multi-year period, which is the previous four years from 2006-07 through 2009-10. This is the second time the Memphis women’s golf program has been recognized, as it was also honored in the 2004-05 NCAA Public Recognition Awards.
