Hands-on training Natoli held its inaugural training event at the new facility October 8 -10, 2 018 . The course was designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the tablet development process, s c a la bilit y, a n d m i c r ot a ble t in g t e ch n olog y a n d in clu d e d b oth classroom and hands-on training, with open discussions, one-on-one consultations, Q& A sessions, and live demonst rat ions. Inst r uctor s included Sedlock, Bill Turner (tech- nical ser vice manager for Natoli's tooling and tablets division), Jona- than Gaik (director of Natoli Sci- entific), and John Sturgis (Natoli technical support engineer). In addition to Natoli's instruc- tors, the session featured presenta- tions and hands-on demonstrations f rom industr y exper ts, including Stuart Porter (president of PPT and film-coating technical consultant for Ashland Specialty Ingredients), Dilip Parikh (president of DPharma G r o u p), A n t h o n y C a r p a n z a n o (director of research & develop- ment for JR S Phar ma), Michelle Q uinn (for mu lat ion technolog y manager at MilliporeSigma), Nick Slater (senior process development scient ist at F r eund-Vector), and Matt Botnick (applications engineer at O'Hara Technologies). Attendees included formulation scientists, process engineers, com- pounding pharmacists, and other R&D personnel from the pharma- ceutical, nutraceutical, pyrotech- nics, and c at alyst ind u st r ies.
